Here at Baggins, we've had some big events too, with our custom printshop continuing to put your designs on our range of canvas shoes from the start to the end of 2018! We've printed over 6700 pairs of custom shoes this year; with cool artist collabs + Baggins Original designs available on our website from corgis, snakes and whales to mandalas, sunflowers and rockets. We also print shoes for businesses to kit out their staff with, and the largest order we printed was a gigantic 2500 pairs! Our custom prints are unique and the perfect way to express your individuality, or give someone a gift with real depth of meaning. VANS x NASA STEALS THE SHOW...
All of our brands have had several exciting moments too; Vans produced a smash-hit collaboration with the one and only NASA - a highlight of 2018 for many a sneakerhead! With Old Skool and Sk8-Hi designs taking centre stage on this occasion, keep your eyes peeled for upcoming collabs in 2019 from some exciting partners. These partnerships have added to the timeless appeal of their classic styles to help make them a star of the show here at Baggins! CONVERSE x MILEY GRABS EVERYONE'S ATTENTION.
Converse remain a staple in all our wardrobes here at Baggins! 2018 truly became the year of the collaboration; saving their best till last this year they brought us another brilliant mash-up, this time with Miley Cyrus, in November. Dropping giant platforms as well as outrageous materials and colour schemes into their classic styles, this range was controversial yet brilliant - reflecting the very best of Miley herself in their design. WE EXPLORED DR. MARTENS' FACTORY!
Our Director of Operations, Tara, had the chance to visit Dr. Martens at their factory located within Northamptonshire in the UK. The county is famed for the variety of reputable shoemakers located there and having Dr. Martens situated at its heart is certainly a jewel in the crown for the area. Baggins' partnership with Dr. Martens is something we're all very passionate about here, with plenty of our crew rocking Docs on the daily during 2018. We're expanding our 2019 collection from mid-January as we enter our first full year of being an official Dr. Martens retailer, and are looking forward to seeing new season styles and patterns from mid-February. HERSCHEL'S CONTEMPORARY CLASSICS.
It was another year to remember for Herschel, as they expanded their range of styles and saw some designs become almost-instant classics, such as the Nova! With even more new colourways and styles coming to us in 2019, we cannot get enough of everything Herschel right now. As we also add further styles of wallets, purses and hats to our current range, 2019 will leave you Herschel happy at Baggins!
STANCE SOCKS ARE MORE THAN JUST WINDOW DRESSING.
Throughout 2018 we've also been adding even more sweet Stance Socks designs for you to accessorize with. If you're just looking for something comfortable, Stance definitely fit the bill and additionally are available in a whole host of interesting designs and patterns for you to choose the ones which best reflect the real you! This year we partook in their window display contest (results pending) which our team had great fun organizing, based on Stance's music collaborations with artists like Johnny Cash and Pink Floyd.
