The Clash has partnered with Dr. Martens to create two iconic shoes sure to be on your most wanted list. The iconic British punk band was formed in 1976 by founding members Paul Simonon, Mick Jones, and Joe Strummer. The movement defined an era of provocation, protest, and loud creative expression. Music from The Clash, The Sex Pistols, and tons of other bands spread through the UK and drew a line in the cultural sand separating rebellious youth from their older or more conservative counterparts.
Punk style is still alive and thriving to this day, and has evolved into something so many people incorporate into their wardrobes in both subtle and in-your-face ways. Dr. Martens always seems to show up in the finest punk outfits, and are always a staple in the scene. Famously, members of The Clash performed in Docs, acting as a part of their uniform alongside leather jackets and zippered trousers.
On October 6th 2022, the British icons are together at last - a collaboration 46 years in the making. Inspired by the shoes and boots they wore on stage, this collab is infused with Dr. Martens attitude. We brought in two styles, Dr Martens 1460 The Clash Black/Green and Dr Martens 1462 The Clash Black/Oxblood. Both pairs are constructed with Arcadia rub-off leather and feature a subtle embossed band logo, and come with a “The Clash” dog tag and special-edition box. Arcadia leather is high-shine with a topcoat designed to rub off with wear to reveal the base-dye beneath. Both come with additional laces so you can switch up your look as you please.
