Liberty of London Fabrics X Vans

Vans has teamed up with a design great that has an incredibly long and rich history; Liberty Fabrics. Founded in 1875 in England by Arthur Liberty, the fabric company has both echoed and influenced the artistic movements over the years. The design studio is best known for florals, paisleys and their art-nouveau Hera print.

From the Victorian era up to today, Liberty Fabrics have been highly sought after. Vans has borrowed from their back catalogue to offer eye-catching deconstructed Old Skools in mixed prints. While this isn’t the first time Vans has collaborated with the fabric house, this offering is very 2021! The style pulls inspiration from throw-back patterns, flashy colours and a quasi DIY vibe.

The Vans Old Skool Liberty Fabrics Multi / Patchwork Floral is a paisley print on the deconstructed Old Skool shape. This new silhouette keeps the key elements of the Old Skool but makes it lighter and less bulky by removing the padded ankle and giving it a slightly more slender fit. This patchwork paisley is very Spring-forward with two hues of blue as the base and bright orange, pink and yellow accents.

Italian Design X Converse

Converse is one of those companies that span the globe. Their offices around the world each have different design groups which pull inspiration from their surroundings. This 2021 offering comes from Italy, a country known as the fashion capital for avant-garde design and classic inspiration. Unique and colourful prints inspired by the country's architecture, art, and design have flooded the European market. We rarely see these prints migrate over to North America but with resources more limited this year, Converse has brought some of those high-end designs here to us.
