CHUCK TAYLOR HAS SEEN SOME FUN COLLABORATIONS OVER THE YEARS
It’s true. Converse shoes are as well-known for their iconic profiles as they are for their fun collaborations. Although some of them are totally random collaborations, many of which are for people with niche interests, all of them work, all of them are fun, and all of them keep us on the balls of our feet wondering, who the heck will Converse pair up with next?
The beauty of it is, Converse has made it to a point in fashion history where it can collaborate with whoever and whatever it wants, and still manage to deliver an incredibly well-designed, loveable shoe.
Before social media ever became a thing, it was hard to figure out what people were into without going up and asking them. Like, unless they had a Black Sabbath World Tour T-shirt on, how were you supposed to know if they rocked to Iron Man as hard as you did?
Nowadays, a person’s social media profile may do a lot of talking, yet for some reason, people still insist on wearing their interests across their chests, and in the case of Black Sabbath, (and Superman, as we’ll see in a bit), on their feet. It’s called Freedom of Expression, and we’re so happy it hasn’t gone away in real life.
Here are some of our favourite Chuck Taylor Collaborations:
With the Chuck Taylor Black Sabbath Collection, you can finally pay homage to the Pioneers of Heavy Metal with your shoes.
The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Hi Top Black Sabbath is perfect for those Black Sabbath fans who can’t decide on their favourite album:
While the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Hi Top Black Sabbath Album is designed for those Ozzy fans who hold the debut album closest to their hearts:
And they didn’t forget the Paranoid album with the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Hi Top Black Sabbath Paranoid:
Another Converse collaboration we’re all for was created for all of the superhero fans out there. OK, not all of the superhero fans out there, just the DC Comics ones. The Converse All Stars Limited Edition DC Comics Collection is a collaboration of classics that covers the Justice League, Superman, Batman, the Joker and more. Fighting crime has never looked so good.
We love the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Hi Top DC Comics Superman Grey/Aspen:
And The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Hi Top DC Comics Batman Aqua/Sea:
Can’t decide on a favourite superhero to slip your feet into? It’s all good. If you’re still into colourful, just not colourful comics, here is one more Converse collaboration we’re celebrating this month: the Marimekko line.
Marimekko, a Finnish textile design company renowned for its bold prints and colourful patterns, managed to catch the eyes of the designers at Converse, who then turned these bold prints into All Stars.
Whether you are looking for Chucks in the Papajo Scuba Blue design, a Pirput Parput print, or the Lokki pattern, we have you covered! Check them out:
The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Premium Low Top Marimekko Lokki Black/ White is all kinds of modern fun:
While the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Low Top Premium Marimekko Multi/ White is getting a little bit more colorful:
And the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Hi Top Premium Marimekko Papajo Scuba Blue offers a new twist on a classic style:
To see more items in the Marimekko Converse Collection, head to the Baggins web store, and then visit Marimekko online to find a bag, umbrella or shirt to match.
These special Chuck Taylor collections are just a few examples of the many ways Converse has been able to deliver footwear to all walks of life imaginable, from the metalheads, to the comic-conners to the overall colourful people out there.
We always love a good shoe shot!
