At Baggins, we like to do our part and give back to our community throughout the year, and the holiday season is definitely no exception! This year we are excited to bring you the in-store only “Baggins Gives: Donate to Win” campaign:
We invite members of our community to take part in this campaign and help us to provide comfort and well being to those in need by donating non-perishable food items, toiletries and gently used warm clothing, in exchange for in-store savings, and the chance to win a pair of custom printed shoes!
From Friday, Dec 1st to Sunday, Dec 17th, enjoy 10% off in-store when you bring in:
• 1 gently used warm clothing or blanket item
• 3 non-perishable food items
• 2 toiletry items
In addition to the 10% discount, if you bring any combination of the above items to our 580 Johnson Street shop, you will be entered in a draw for a chance to win a pair of custom kicks created at our Custom Printshop! The winner will be announced via social media on Monday, Dec 18th, so make sure to give us a follow on Instagram and Facebook.
Not sure what to donate? Here are some great examples!:
• Warm jackets, sweaters, gloves, scarves, toques, new socks, blankets
• Canned or packed soup, peanut butter, hot/cold cereal, tetra packs of juice or milk alternatives, fruit & vegetables (canned/cups), granola bars, dry pasta/rice, canned/dried beans, peas or lentils, pasta or tomato sauces
• Toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, bars of soap, feminine hygiene products
All items donated will be brought to Our Place, who we have been working with on a continual basis over the past year to provide footwear for residents and community members who frequent their facilities. Our Place offers a vast array of services to those in need, including meals, housing, support for health and wellness, education and practical care, so it made perfect sense to continue this partnership and help keep our community warm in their bellies, hearts and souls.
In addition, Baggins will also be donating to The Mustard Seed, 1Up Single Parent Family Resource Centre and Victoria SPCA. There are a lot of ways and reasons to give back within our communities, so we hope our spirit of giving inspires you to give back in your own way this holiday season.
