 Using artwork we curated from an archived collection of vintage botanical illustrations, we were inspired to create this Botanical Collection. This design, the Baggins Original Low Top Japanese Butterfly, was made using artwork by Bunshichi Kobayashi from the publication from 1901 called Banshō zuyan. The original artwork is a woodblock print, a technique best known from this era for its use in the ukiyo-e artistic genre of single sheets, but was also used for printing books.

Each shoe is made to order with love by a member of our trusty staff, using a patented process at our print shop. Baggins print shop staff makes every possible effort to ensure each pair of shoes we produce is of the highest quality. Because they are made custom to order, please allow for minor imperfections with inking and layout. Due to supply shortages, we will not guarantee in-stock numbers to be 100% accurate.
