Using artwork we curated from an archived collection of vintage botanical illustrations, we were inspired to create this Botanical Collection. This design, the Baggins Original Hi Top Botanical Birds was created using artwork from the Smithsonian Library archives. The birds pictured are Rose Breasted Grossbeaks and a Red Headed Woodpecker. These illustrations from 1897 are by Nellie Blanchan DeGraff Doubleday and John Burroughs, and were originally published in Bird Neighbors: an Introductory Acquaintance with One Hundred and Fifty Birds Commonly Found in the Gardens, Meadows, and Woods About Our Homes.

Each shoe is made to order with love by a member of our trusty staff, using a patented process at our print shop. Baggins print shop staff makes every possible effort to ensure each pair of shoes we produce is of the highest quality. Because they are made custom to order, please allow for minor imperfections with inking and layout. Due to supply shortages, we will not guarantee in-stock numbers to be 100% accurate.
