We have a fresh new addition to our growing team of artist collaborators, Jessica Croft of JCroftDesign who specializes in photography and graphic design. Jessica Croft is a local creative with roots that run deep in the world of reading, often creating handmade bookmarks and stickers with quotes from some of our most beloved books and other pop culture favourites.
Are you a corgi fanatic? Do you fancy a good wiggle butt or consider yourself a stumpy run enthusiast? Do you love corgi bleps and sploots all day, every day? If you answered yes to any of these questions, (good)boy, do we ever have a shoe for you! The Jessica Croft Corgi low top is a fresh custom print taken from an original sticker design and celebrates everything we love about our favourite little loaf dogs!

With a background in Photography and Graphic Design, and a recent resident of Victoria, I can be found between the pages of a book and sipping on big mugs of tea.
Can you tell us about the space where you create?
My home! My one bedroom basement suite might be dark, but it’s warm and cozy. Add a cup of tea and it’s great for creating.
What is your most important artist tool?
Prismacolor Col-Erase in Scarlet Red. Perfect for doodles or lists and isn’t a boring Grey like a normal pencil.
Who or what do you take inspiration from?
Converse, Dr. Martens or Vans? Any self-defining moments made in any of these kicks?
Is there a piece of artwork you are most proud of? Why?
I created a magazine in design school from cover to back. I decided to go with a science theme to get out of my comfort zone, it turned out way better than I was expecting and learned a ton on the project. It was the most excited I got about a project that year.
Any favourite Victoria landmarks or hangouts?
I love Beacon Hill Park. Every time I go there I find something new.
Can you talk us through your customised Baggins Original?
The corgis originally came from a sticker I sell on my Etsy shop. Baggins loved the concept, and who doesn’t love Corgis. I made it even better by adding more.
What does the future have in store for you?
In the future I’d like to be continuing to grow and learn as a creator, living in a place big enough for my future dogs and all my books.
The Jessica Croft Corgi low top is one for the books
and a must-have for any dog lover out there.
